Leader Prep: Scout out the route ahead of time and ensure it is biker friendly. It is strongly recommended you use routes which have designated bike lanes. Also, get a feel for any hills along the route and ensure it's within the child's ability.

Parent Prep: It is helpful to the leader if you know of "bike friendly" roads and routes nearby to recommend to your activity leader. Talk to the leader beforehand and let them know your child's endurance level to help them maximize your child's experience.

Child Prep: Basic balance and biking skills. Must be able to behave reliably around traffic and follow safety precautions as outlined by the activity leader.
